John begins the program with some thoughts on his privilege, being a productive artist, and attempting creative work in a building that used to be an immigration prison. 

Later, John has a conversation with his good friend Jason Finn. Jason is the drummer for the band The Presidents of the United States of America, frequent musical collaborator, and a fellow "nerd rock dude."

Roderick's Rendezvous: Mike Squires

John begins the program with some thoughts on his father’s last wishes, family obligations, and the complicated business of a person’s remains. 

Later, John has a conversation with his good friend Mike Squires. Mike might be best known as the lead guitarist for the rock band Loaded with Duff McKagan, but Seattle music fans also remember him in bands like Nevada Bachelors, Harvey Danger, and briefly, as one of the many ex members of The Long Winters.
